What this website is, what it is not, and when a professional relationship actually begins.

Last updated

This site is information, not advice

What you read here is general. It describes the kind of work we do. It is not advice about your particular situation, and it cannot be, because we do not know your situation.

Tax depends on facts, and on law that changes. Do not act on anything you read here without talking to an accountant about your own circumstances.

We are accountants, and only accountants

Vandana Patel, CPA, LLC is an accounting firm. It does not practice law, and nothing on this site should be read as a substitute for a lawyer where you need one.

Reading this site does not make you a client

Neither does sending the contact form, or emailing, or calling. Those start a conversation, which is all they are meant to do.

A professional relationship begins when we have agreed to take the work on and we have both signed an engagement letter. Until that has happened, nothing you send us is confidential or privileged, which is the other reason not to put sensitive information in the form.

No result is promised

We do not promise a refund, a saving, or any particular outcome. Anyone in this profession who does is telling you something they cannot know.

What we offer is careful work and a straight answer.

Licensing

Vandana Patel is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas and in Illinois. Vandana Patel, CPA, LLC holds a firm licence from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.

All three are on the public registers, and you are welcome to check them.

Accuracy

We try to keep this site current and correct, and tax law moves faster than websites do. We cannot promise that everything here is complete or up to date at the moment you read it.
